It was during cold ice-skating trips on Dutch lakes in Ankeveen and Belt-Schutsloot that everything fell into place and the idea for Cargowatch was born. The logistics sector was ready for a new standard: greater insight, real-time control and better decision-making based on hard data.
Founders and former university classmates Bas Wegener and Bas van Straaten decided to combine their expertise after years of experience in the sector. Bas Wegener brought extensive experience in procurement, with a strong focus on logistics and non-product-related spend, while Bas van Straaten drew on his experience in various management roles in transport and logistics.
Since 2014, Cargowatch has been helping organisations use innovative technology to turn complex logistics flows into clear insights and tangible improvements. By putting data at the heart of the process, we make transport more predictable, more efficient and ready for the future. We don't replace your logistics operation. We give you control over it.
